# Introduction

### How to install <a href="#how-to-install" id="how-to-install"></a>

1. Go to modrinth and get the latest `.jar` version from the official [**Modrinth Page**](https://modrinth.com/plugin/guardian)**.**
2. Add the downloaded file `.jar` into your server's plugin folder.
3. Restart your server.

To use Guardian you need to download [CommandAPI](https://docs.commandapi.dev/) plugin.

#### How it works <a href="#how-it-works" id="how-it-works"></a>

Once installed, Protect automatically logs all relevant events on your server:

* **Blocks:** *Every block place and break is recorded with full block data*
* **Containers:** *Item movements in chests, barrels, hoppers, dispensers, and droppers*
* **Items:** *Item pickups and drops by players*
* **Interactions:** *Door and container open/close events*

When you need to investigate an issue, use **inspect mode** to click on blocks and containers in-world and view their logs instantly. If you find unwanted changes, use **rollback** to revert them within a radius and time window\.You can also look up all logs for a specific player or view their statistics.
